This year I decided to treat myself to some art from one of my favorite artists/authors, the incredibly talented Thanatopsiturvy.
I decided I wanted Cyrelian in a three-quarter view, in the process of stripping off those duty blacks, having had Enough For One Day.
First came the initial sketch:

This was all to get the position and setting right. Then we talked about color:
Here he’s about half-done, and you can see us trying to figure out lighting and so on.
We tried this:
But ultimately ended up going with:
The color of the Thalmor robes/pants hasn’t changed at all, that’s just the lighting. I think it worked out really well!
And, of course, the final product once more, since I can’t stop looking at it.
(Oh and since Marcus will shank me if HIS art doesn’t get included–)
