This year I decided to treat myself to some art from one of my favorite artists/authors, the incredibly talented Thanatopsiturvy.

I decided I wanted Cyrelian in a three-quarter view, in the process of stripping off those duty blacks, having had Enough For One Day.

First came the initial sketch:

Which became:

This was all to get the position and setting right. Then we talked about color:

Here he’s about half-done, and you can see us trying to figure out lighting and so on.

We tried this:

But ultimately ended up going with:

The color of the Thalmor robes/pants hasn’t changed at all, that’s just the lighting. I think it worked out really well!

And, of course, the final product once more, since I can’t stop looking at it.

(Oh and since Marcus will shank me if HIS art doesn’t get included–)

Marcus: Hey! I would never, ever wear that dress without shaving!

Me: I thought you were just fucking around with gender roles again.

Marcus: Yeah. That.

I got some great expressions out of Marcus and Cyrelian on this picture-taking session, meant to be part of Rise and Stand.

First we have the reason why no one bothers anymore to get Marcus to do honest work:

And of course later on, he’ll tell whatever story he can to get out of it.

And not a very productive one, given that my creative abilities got knocked in the teeth by the events of 2020.

My hope is to track down what I have done, get it posted up, and try to organize myself enough to get back to the main story.
