I don’t much like Cyranrir. You’ll remember him– Cyrelian’s father, that paragon of revolutionary spirit. Much to the collective relief of the Thalmor, Cyranrir is safely deceased long before the start of Cyrelian’s story. He was too much for them even in their rowdier early days.
Cyranrir thought that the Altmer had gotten way too civilized and comfortable, so he spent some time in Tamriel exploring– and ruthlessly pillaging from–other cultures.
If the sages at Crystal-Law denounced it; if those who still ward Ceporah Tower decried it– well, Cyranrir would go and make a habit of it, just to make a point.
Mod above is Viking’s Longhouse – amazing house mod based on historical research.
Here is Cyranrir in his lavish little townhouse in Cyrodiil: Mona Alta which is just a goregous residence. I wouldn’t expect much of a frame-rate though. I took these pictures months ago– so long ago that I think this is sans ENB.
And of course this is Barbaric Male Armor — the mod which captured my attention with the words “there’s penises here so”.
How far we’ve come, lol.
Oh, and Cyranrir– then nameless– was made as a model in response to a few commenters who had swooped in to crap all over the comment section.
I believe his friend here is Chaconne.
What’s a Thalmor doing in an Imperial City Apartment with a ridiculously young Bosmer in 4e10? Best not to ask.
In Valenwood with a different friend, this time just prior to the 4th era:
The NPC is based on Auveren — actually all of this mod author’s NPCs are nicely done.
We’ll see more of him and Cyranrir later.
I had to wonder what those mer must have been like, at the very end of the 3d era– the ones who within a couple of decades changed everything about the Altmer social structure and government. Even after the shock of Crystal-like-law, that had to have been one hell of an effort.
This is Cyranrir, my protagonist Cyrelian’s father. If I had to hazard a guess, I would say this shot is from early in the Oblivion Crisis before they knew just how bad things would get.
He’s been deceased about three decades at the beginning of Cyrelian’s story, so this meeting never would have occured.
Heavy armor is Robbie’s Fireglass Armory and the green armor is my green recolor of Thalmor Armory.
