Site Changes

In the coming days I’m going to be updating the theme of the website and hopefully changing how the stories are linked. I do like the storyboard format that Imgur has, but it does have its limitations and their platform has made some changes.

The links to the stories will remain active and will be in the bar at the top of the page.

There will still be the sidebar links for new posts and archives and so on.

Story posts will be self-hosted– but they’re pretty large for most people to load up while casually web-browsing. I won’t be having those posts hit the main page, but I’ll announce them, and they’ll be visible in the sidebar links as well.

It’s likely that the chapter index will also be undergoing some changes.

If you see any problems with the site, please let me know!

Hosting Service woes

URL has been changed to accommodate some issues with the SSL security certificate which proved too annoying to deal with. The problem is that WordPress provides free SSL certificates to every website on this hosting service— until very recently, they covered subdomains as well as domains.

And now they don’t.

So, when the domain’s SSL certificate came up for renewal, I couldn’t renew the subdomain’s certificate. Not without making changes which would cost a whole lot of money. Which would be a silly thing to do for a simple blog site.

Anyway, if something doesn’t work quite right, just leave a comment. I’m still testing and moving things around.

EDIT– Working on reconfiguring things and redirecting links. If you see anything broken, please let me know.

Site issue

Your browser may give you some kind of weird warning about a security certificate.

I’m aware of the issue– this site is a subdomain and apparently now requires a different type of certificate. Which of course the web hosting company was willing to sell to me at an awe-inspiring price, of course.

The domain owner and I will be fixing this little issue once they are back from travel.

Sadly, there are no hackers here waiting to trawl through and steal your data, whatever it might happen to be.

No matter what Marcus says, that would be way too upscale for this place.
