POLICY STATEMENT:
The College of Winterhold strives to maintain a harmonious and serene atmosphere which is conducive to the learning of the highest art. In order for all students to feel confident and safe, the College shall in its discretion impose dress code regulations to promote an atmosphere of learning.
A student mage’s appearance– including dress and grooming– must not disrupt the educational process, compromise reasonable standards of health, safety, or decency; or interfere with the learning environment. All student mages are expected to observe basic standards of hygiene and modesty.
While the College acknowledges the diversity of taste, fashion, anatomical differences, and individual preference, it expects that all participants in the education process shall dress and behave in such a manner as to reflect the College’s professional atmosphere:
A REMINDER AS TO GENERAL STANDARDS:
The College of Winterhold absolutely prohibits clothing which depicts images of necromancy or anthropophagy; has sexual or obscene connotations; which advocates ethnic or racial or interspecies violence and/or superiority; or which reveals the primary or secondary sexual organs; or which has the primary purpose of eliciting sexualized behavior.
The College of Winterhold Arcaneum, Lustratorium, Hall of Elements, Shalidor Auditorium, Botanical Gardens, Direnni Great Hall, and Saint Jiub Commemorative Exhibit Hall are all areas designated for the use of visitors to the College. Academic and/or professional attire in these areas is mandated at all times.
